Continuing my journey in 1066 Country in East Sussex, I make a return to Rye spending two Nights staying at the Famous ‘Mermaid Inn’ so I can explore the History and Heritage of this stunning Medieval Town. Rye was an important Member of the Cinque Ports Confederation and the Protection of the Town was important due to the Commerce that Trading brought.
