British Columbia Aviation Museum "In The Beginning redo"

This video is a redo of the original “In The Beginning” video of Jan 2019. This one is more polished and fits the style of the completed series. The idea of an aviation museum had been kicked around for years and there were at least four organizations that were trying to get one started. But it is difficult for an unknown organization to establish enough credibility to obtain the backing of governing bodies. The directors of the Flying Club conceived a plan to amalgamate the diverse aviation museum groups, and to then make a proposal to the Provincial Government for the use of the Trident (now Nicholson) building to form a combined Aviation Museum and Flying Club. The proposal was considered by the government representatives but they countered with an offer of two or three of the pavilion buildings after Expo86 combined with an Expo Legacy grant to barge the buildings across and install them on an airport site. However, the Expo pavilions were not designed as permanent public buildings and could neither meet seismic nor snow load requirements. So it was proposed that a steel building be purchased instead with the Expo Legacy Grant, and the Provincial Government representatives agreed.
