St Agnes - The Beautiful Scilly Isles - Video Tour in 4K

[Just spotted the typo on the subtitles 🤭🤦] Filmed on a sunny but windy day in August this video features a walking tour of my favourite Scilly Isle - Saint Agnes. At just a mile across it doesn't take long to explore this island from end to end but you could easily spend much longer enjoying the unspoiled beauty and tranquillity of this special place. The tour begins on the quick boat trip over from Hugh Town on St Mary's (   • Hugh Town, St Mary's - Isles of Scilly  ). It can be a little bumpy, but even with the wind it was smooth sailing this day. After passing the Turk's Head pub we head down to The Bar beach - a ribbon of fine white sand that runs between St Agnes and the neighbouring islet of Gugh. This is one of the finest beaches on Scilly, perfect for a day of sunbathing and fun. Next we head along the island's main thoroughfare which leads us past all the main signs of civilisation. Starting at Covean Cottage and westwards to the Post Office Stores for refreshments. Just across from here is the 17th century lighthouse which more or less marks the centre of St Agnes. Just before we reach the most westerly tip of the island we stop off at Troy Town Farm for one of their famous icecreams. Then it's on through the campsite and to the rugged west and south coast. Here we navigate the granite castle like outcrops and an actual ancient maze. From here you can see the Bishop Rock lighthouse - the most westerly point in the Scillies - next stop America... The south coast is even more remote as we make our way across Wingtangle Down, home to some very oddly shaped rocks, with equally odd names. The final leg of this video walk brings us back to the Bar beach, but not before taking in what I think is St Agnes' prettiest beach - Cove Vean. This little gem is perfect for snorkelling and the white sand has a backdrop of greenery that gives it a feel of the exotic.
