JR Shinonoi Line Cab View Part 2. This video covers the Shinonoi Line from Kamuriki Station north to Shinonoi Station. Part 1, which includes cab views south of Kamuriki Station, is here. ↓    • 篠ノ井線前面展望パート１松本→冠着　＜Cabview Japanrail ...   The Shinonoi Line is a line with a total length of 66.7 km, and currently plays a significant role in connecting Nagano City and Matsumoto City, the major cities of Nagano Prefecture. Almost the entire line runs through the mountains, and there are switchbacks at Ubasute Station along the way. I omitted the inside of the tunnel in this video as well. Please be aware of this. It's refreshing to see short tunnels in the mountains, but I couldn't get rid of the reflection of my own silhouette. I have to blur it out, but this is a remaining issue. One of the tunnels that was erased still plays an important role on this route. In Part 1 of this route and in the first half of this video, the left side is open in the direction of travel, but the route that passes through the tunnel and reaches the switchback station is open on the right side in the direction of travel. The impression is very different. Once the track reaches Inariyama Station, the terrain ahead is flat. The train moves smoothly towards Shinonoi Station. JR East website https://www.jreast.co.jp/multi/en/ Google map coordinates of Kantaku station 36.45747428896928, 138.07942584902747 Shinonoi Station 36.577249618939916, 138.13827892758215 #cabview #japanrail #Shinonoiline #前面展望 #篠ノ井線 アクセスありがとうございます。JR篠ノ井線の前面展望パート２冠着→篠ノ井間です。途中の姥捨駅で列車交換があります。このビデオでもトンネル内を割愛しています。この割愛は不評なのですが、211系の場合、正面に撮影者自身のシルエットが写り、うまくボカせないでいます。今後の課題ですが、今回もトンネル内を割愛としました。ご了承下さい。 この路線もこう配が連続している様子が解ります。まだ、蒸気機関車が運転されていた時代、機関士、機関助士は連日、この山越えに挑んでいたのですね。技術の高い乗務員は難路に集められるといいますが、ここで働く機関士には大変な技量が備わっていたのでしょう。もっとも、技量の高い乗務員が難路に集められるという事情は、今日でもあまり変わらないのかもしれません。2024年5月撮影
