What's Your Fragrance Personality? Favourite Perfume Notes + What They Say About You! Perfumes

What does your perfume choice / fragrance taste / favourite notes say about you? Ok, so this video is the result of me reading about research trying to categorise people's food and aroma loves and going down another rabbit hole. 🐇 I emerged, not being sure what was right and what, well, wasn't, to be quite honest! There's some interesting, very similar, popular science, click-bait friendly articles, but I couldn't find any original research relating to smell personality, only mentions of research on taste personality, with no actual primary sources, so I'm not sure these stack up... So today we are throwing science under a bus and just having a fun, slightly sciencey video, without the peer review. If you didn't already know, my day job is being a scientist, specifically a molecular biologist. I absolutely love reading about all the ways psychologists have tried to categorise personalities though, e.g. type A/B and Myers Briggs and I wondered if people had used perfume choices... What do you think? Are these descriptions stacking up with the notes that you enjoy and how you think of your personality or do you think it's all a massive generalisation? Or on the whole, is it basically along the right lines? Does this all hinge on popular personality tropes? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
