HOW TO MAKE A DORM ROOM FOR DARLING CHARMING & ROSABELLA BEAUTY [EVER AFTER HIGH]

Continuing on in my quest to make dorm rooms for all of my daughter's Ever After High dolls, I am excited to show you my completed project for Darling Charming and Rosabella Beauty, two of my favorite Ever After High dolls! Because I love these characters so much, I really wanted their dorm room to be super special. Here's the first step: make beds for them! So make those beds first and foremost! Next, select a color scheme for the room. In Darling Charming and Rosabella Beauty's case, this was next to impossible, because their color palettes have NOTHING in common. Darling is light blue and silver and pink, while Rosabella is gold and brown and red (and even green). So, I chose completely different flooring and wallpaper for each one of them. Darling Charming's flooring is a sparkly silver scrapbook paper, while Rosabella's flooring is a sparkly gold paper. Darling's wall is light blue with silver vines, while Rosabella's wall is roses on a shiny gold background. To unify the room, I decided to create a top and bottom border containing both silver and gold, so that both sides of the room would contain silver AND gold. (I hope you think that this worked!) Next, I created windows and curtains for each of them. Rosabella's window frame is painted brown, while Darling's is painted pink. Both have portions of the TriCastleOn box that depict trees outside their window. Both their curtain rods are made of 12" dowel rods and finial caps, except Rosabella's is painted brown and Darling's is painted pink. Rosabella Beauty's curtains are a beautiful fabric that looks like lush red roses on a white background, while Darling Charming's curtain is a transparent blue fabric edged with decorative light blue lace trim. I also couldn't fit two panels on Darling's curtain rod, because of the way I have to angle her bed (while making her bed, I miscalculated and made the headboard too tall, so the only way it fits on her shelf is at an angle - doh!). In terms of furniture, their beds take up most of the room, but I did get a few things in. Rosabella has a bedside table that is a book box - I am going to fill it with books and have it double as her bookcase. On top of her bedside table is a planter filled with roses. Above that is a picture frame containing a picture of Darling and Rosabella together - I cut their cardboard paper dolls out of the backs of their respective doll boxes. On Darling's side of the room, I gave her a trunk that I painted baby blue and baby pink. I also placed a silver clock (so she can do her Damsel-in-Distressing thronework assignments, which frequently involve waiting around doing nothing for an hour or two) on top of her trunk. On the wall above her trunk, I created a "knight-themed" mirror by using a knight paper cutout, an oval shaped mirror, some bling, and a silver rose. I put swords inside her trunk, as well as a miniature book called, "Magical Creatures vs. Dargons." This is to illustrate Darling's secret adventures as a knight errant. Haha! Then, in the middle of the room, I placed a dollhouse rug and several parcels and letters on top of that to represent the constant barrage of presents, love letters, and marriage proposals that Darling Charming gets from morning to night.
