Mt. Whitney Summit in August - Stunning Summit Views in 4K!

At the end of August 2022, Netty and I fulfilled a bucket list item by camping overnight at Trail Camp and hiking to the summit of Mt Whitney the following day! We had extra slots on our lottery permit and asked if our nephews would like to do it with us - they didn't hesitate to take us up on the offer! We drove from Reno, Nevada and camped at the Whitney portal campground for two nights before taking off on the hike. It was a great adventure which we'll never forget! You just can't beat this amazing spot along highway 395 and, the Sierra Nevada mountains! Also... After watching the video, I realized I put the wrong mileage for the summit. I meant to put 11 miles 🙂. #mtwhitney #hiking #highway395
