GR - Giant Robo is a 13 episode anime series loosely based on Mitsuteru Yokoyama's early Super Robot manga Giant Robo. In the world of GR, a mysterious organization known as GRO has unearthed giant robots left by an ancient civilization from within various historical monuments worldwide, and has subsequently been attacking other monuments and countries. After meeting a mysterious girl named V, Daisaku discovers an underwater pyramid, wherein the ancient artifacts offer him a contract with the iron god Edfu.
