This is a video about my travel with my family to Thailand. This is the first Chapter. This covers my travel from Kolkata to Bangkok in October 2023. The total trip was for 7 days. We have covered Chiang Mai, Pattaya and Bangkok in this trip. We travelled by Indigo Airlines ex Kolkata. The return flight ticket was for 22000 INR per head. I stayed here in Bangkok City Suites for one night halt at Bangkok. The cost for 3 people with breakfast was around 3300 INR. We got the Sticker Visa through Makemytrip. They charged Rs. 4000 per head for the Thailand visa.you need about a week to get a Sticker Visa. The following documents are required. 1. Passport with expiry date more than 6 months. 2. Return Air Ticket 3. Hotel vouchers for all the days 4.Passport size photograph with 80 percent face in the photograph. 5. 20000 THB per pax 6. 6 months bank statement duly attested by the bank. Other option is on arrival visa. This will cost 5000 INR for Indians. All the documents are needed. Good news now ! The On Arrival visa is free and in next 2-3 weeks India will be exempted from Visa in Thailand for sometime. Good news is till May 2024 Visa is free for Indians. In Suvarnabhumi airport ( Bangkok) you will get food on the 3rd floor late night. Taxi and bus is available on the 2nd floor ( arrival floor). You need to walk out of the Gate 7 or 8 - you will see the kiosk from where one can take the token for the taxi. There are 3 types of taxi. One can get the Indriver app for local taxi and even if anyone plan to visit Pattaya from Bangkok. This will work out cheaper. Otherwise one can download Grab app for taxi, motorbikes and food. Bus operates from 6 am to 8 pm. One can reach to main areas of Bangkok. One can get a bus to Pattaya also. One can get the SIM at the airport. There are 4 service providers. The 7 day SIM costs 299 THB , which is adequate.They need the passport for the same.its a 2 minutes process. I used the Bookmyforex card in this trip. This was quite useful. One can get this card in 24 hours online in a metro city.
