Whenever Lauren Turner Hines, who served as the director of my play, first read my script she said it felt cinematic and decided to add a cinematic element into the theatrical production thus creating the visuals that I call "Runna & Sondelo Forever" based off of the song I wrote most of the play listening to...Sondela Forever by Muzi. Produced by No Dream Deferred Nola, "Runna & Sondelo Forever" aided in making the world premiere of Where the Suga Still Sweet at the We Will Dream: New Worls Festival a multi-media production with the footage being projected onto the set in various scenes. Shot by Jami'L Carter and directed by R'Myni Watson "Runna & Sondelo Forever" features Donyaè Asante & Atlantis Clay as Runna & Sondelo in powerful performances that can be described as tender, haunting, and sweet.
