SiM - Under the Tree: Lyrics + Vocals, My Vocal Learning Journey

For a while, I've been learning Japanese language and now trying to learn rock vocals as well. SiM's music has really been inspiring me to get back into this. Please understand that I'm going in as a learner - not a Japanese teacher and not an established vocalist. I have a long way to go to learn better pitch and all around technique & quality + I really want to learn more harsh vocals. Knowing what I need to learn about becoming a better vocalist actually makes it harder for me to get the guts to post this kind of video, but there are things I've been learning that I want to point out and not just talk about. There's been a lot of motivation and inspiring vocalists & musicians recently (both older and newer) that have been pushing me to get to this point. ‪@simofficialyoutubechannel6767‬ Has actually been a big contributor to this. Mah as a vocalist really stands out for various reasons and I can't help but sing along while I'm driving. Other vocalists that I want to feature in future videos (if I continue this) are: Saiki (from ‪@BANDMAID‬ ) Bruce Dickenson (‪@ironmaiden‬ ) Sebastian Bach (‪@SebastianBachOfficial‬ ) Yuko Suzuhana ( ‪@wagakkiband‬ ) Mike Patton ( ‪@faithnomore‬ ) and more recently: symphonic vocalist Michal ( ‪@ANCIENTMYTHofficial‬ ) vocal coach Chris Liepe (‪@chrisliepe‬ ) & YouTube vocalist of both covers and originals who also sings for the love of singing (like me) - Mieux90 ( ‪@Mieux090‬ ) just to name a few. Going through their material, listening, AND watching what they do and learning...this is motivation and inspiration. I'm not a good singer - but they are ALL amazing!!! I'm also working on improving video editing and removing dead time. I've also removed the intro and outro segment and just getting right to the point for viewers. I free talk in every video now with no script so I do leave in some of my natural verbal crutch intentionally. ******* NOTE: I am a fellow learner and not claiming to be a teacher in any of these subjects, but sharing my learning methods for motivation. I hope some of these videos are helpful to people out there learning new skills in adulthood. Please feel free to share your experiences with me and others. Remember that we are always learning together. My translations, karate techniques, spoken language, etc., will often have many mistakes as I'm figuring this out on my own as much as possible. The mistakes are necessary for learning and I will make many many mistakes in the videos as I'm still learning these subjects.... including HOW to make videos. Over time, I'll find things to correct and make new videos to document my progress. ******** COPYRIGHTS: FAIR USE, Title 17, US Code (Sections 107-118 of the copyright law): All media in this video is used for purpose of review & commentary under terms of fair use.
