Tai Chi : Qi, internal strength and issuing force .

Three Classic Internal Martial Arts Inheritances of Tai Chi: Complete Integration of Qi, Internal Qi Circulation, and Issuing Force like Shooting Arrows with Inner Power. In the inheritance of Tai Chi, there are two main aspects: the transmission of principles and the transmission of techniques. While the transmission of Tai Chi principles has evolved to cover various aspects over time, the transmission of Tai Chi techniques exhibits significant differences. However, fundamentally, as long as one can genuinely cultivate internal power, both high and low postures are acceptable. Traditionally, Tai Chi practice typically begins by rooting and laying foundations through "body training" to develop robust strength, steady endurance, resilient tendons and bones, and coordinated agility. Then, practitioners progress to the training of internal power, integrating the external muscular strength and the flexibility of tendons and bones into the body structure. Gradually, the overt muscular strength in body movements is transformed into covert inner power, which evolves from covert power to condensed energy, ultimately reaching the stage of guiding force with Qi. This stage not only utilizes relaxed and supple energy but also stores energy akin to drawing a bow, achieving the internal power cultivation of issuing force like shooting arrows with Qi. With the evolution of time, Tai Chi practice has diversified into various learning modes, including training, refinement, fitness, body conditioning, and health preservation. Regardless of the purpose of Tai Chi practice, whether it is for refining internal power, achieving fitness goals, restoring health, or focusing on long-term wellness, the emphasis remains largely the same, with variations in the sequence of priorities. Based on over twenty years of Tai Chi teaching experience, regardless of the mode of practice, adherence to three fundamental principles is indispensable: Firstly, the attainment of "complete integration of Qi" in the body aims to connect and unify the entire body. This is essential for cultivating the internal power of Tai Chi, which constitutes the fundamental practice. Secondly, internal Qi circulation is crucial for naturally gathering and guiding Qi energy along with body movements. Tai Chi philosophy suggests that Qi energy should naturally manifest without deliberate Qi practice. However, if one fails to naturally cultivate internal Qi despite prolonged practice, it poses a significant challenge in Tai Chi's Qi cultivation inheritance. Finally, with the accumulation of internal Qi energy, practitioners can refine outer muscular strength into supple force through Qi. This enables them to manifest both outer softness and inner solidity, achieving gentle but potent force. Such supple force not only benefits physical fitness but also enhances internal organ functions and body conditioning, ultimately enabling the practitioner to store and issue force effectively, rather than merely executing empty movements in Tai Chi practice. In summary, Tai Chi's method of issuing force with Qi involves mastering the art of Qi-guided force, cultivating both strength and flexibility simultaneously. This holistic approach ensures the authentic cultivation of Tai Chi's firmness and softness. #taichinh #taiji #song #relax #exercise #fitness #taichiclass #fajin #neijin #TaiChiInstruction #TaiChiQiGong #TaiChiHealth #IssuingForce #InnerPower #QiGong #QiGongInstruction #TaiChiChenStyle #TaiChiYangStyle #TaiChiclassTaipei #TaiChiclassHsinchu #TaiChiclassTaichung #TaiChiclassTainan Filmed 2024.04.13 http://www.tw6889.com
