Follow me On Instagram : https://bit.ly/3bcOuhd So What is Pulpitis? - As we have studied in the previous lecture, pulpitis in simple words is the inflammation of the pulp. - Pulpitis is a process that occurs within the pulp when there is an external stimuli, like bacterial attack or mechanical trauma to the the pulp. - There are two types of pulpitis. Reversible pulpitis and Irreversible pulpitis. - Reversible pulpitis is an acute inflammatory condition which can revert back to it's original state once the cause of inflammation is removed. - Causes of reversible pulpitis can vary. The most common cause of reversible pulpitis being small carious lesions. It can also be caused by occlusal attrition, minor tooth fractures or operative procedures. -How to diagnose reversible pulpitis? Reversible Pulpitis is usually symptomless but if the symptoms do occur they follow a particular pattern.
