Also a continued thank you to Stefan as well for all the treasures he and Erhard have sent me to be able to share with you all. This is a song that I adore, it has everything that is to love about Barry's vocals and Paul' s songwriting. Barry Ryan with the B Side of Love is Love and the song called ~I'll Be On My Way, Dear~ It has it all, this song, a love song, love gone wrong, charm , wit and also sadness. It almost seems to be a song about the pressure of being a Pop Star whilst trying to retain a normal relationship with someone. Barry is singing this with his trademark yells, screams, his passionate delivery and some vulnerability and some wit. I love everything about this song. I loved creating this and added the lyrics as I heard them and any errors are mine and I apologize. This video was created and has been uploaded under the terms of Fair Use. No copyright infringement is intended. It was created with different footage from different videos and I added some colour to a black video and tried to even out the colour tones of the colour clips. My sincere wish is for these two musicians to be finally recognized and be called legendary as surely they were this. They were pioneers with their style of music, Paul with writing such dramatic symphonic pop songs, and such a variety of songs as well ( and all in a short time) , Barry for his incredible vocal delivery, his incredible feel. The way he could sing with tenderness, vulnerability and then raw passion and power ( and all in one song at times), his range was incredible and there were no weak spots in that range. His voice was warm, never harsh or thin and he also had his own style just as Paul did. Barry could sing all these different styles yet remain true to himself and be instantly recognized and I love his yells. Both Barry and Paul were incredible men, kind, caring, witty, charming and warm, so very talented yet so modest and humble. I wish they had gotten the recognition they so deserve and legend status which I feel their music deserves as they were the pioneers with their style, IMO, I doubt that Queen would have been the success without these 2 paving the way. In fact if you sit down and really listen, especially to some of the material of Barry and Paul Ryan's music you will hear something and think "That sounds like Queen from 3 years later or more" and other bands as well. I really noticed this. I know Freddie spoke to Paul and thanked him for writing 'Eloise' , I wish Freddie had also mentioned more about how the music influenced his singing style, but I feel Queen copped terrible press at the start especially in the UK. ( I remember the headline about Freddie asking " Is this man a prat?" ) So perhaps as Freddie knew that the Ryans had encountered negativity from the UK press he was reluctant to mention it as it perhaps hurt him or the band and perhaps started up for the Ryans as well. I also want to say I remember you Barry, treasured memories live on in my heart , your light continues to shine in your music as does Paul's and in the hearts of the ones who loved you and still do.
