"Thoughts of an Elephant" ("خواطر فيل") by An-Noor al-Jeylaani | English Translation

“Thoughts of an Elephant” (“خواطر فيل”) is a song written by Hassan Baara, composed by Suleyman Zeyn al-’Abdeen, and performed by an-Noor al-Jeylaani. “Thoughts of an Elephant” is one of, if not the first, Sudanese animal rights’ songs, protesting the imprisonment of a baby elephant in Khartoum Zoo.
