Summertime means sunshine, fresh produce, long afternoons in the sun, sipping great libations, and yes, potentially an accidental sunburn. 1350 Distilling's Cocktail of the Month for June 2024 is a culmination of all these things (minus the pigment damage, except in name). Dudes & Dudettes, we introduce to you the "Strawberry Sunburn" highlighting the sweet subtly of our Old Blood & Guts' Strawberry Flavored Vodka (40% ABV), shaken with with freshly muddled strawberries and basil, squeezed lemon juice and a topper of ginger beer. This is the only sunburn you will want to experience every week in June. Light, fresh, and effervescent with a nip of ginger spice, this concoction was the fine work of our Cocktail Specialist - Katie. Available through June in our Taste Lounge, but easily mixable in your home bar. Try one at our Second Annual Dude Fair on Saturday 8 June from 11am-3pm in our Taste Lounge. STRAWBERRY SUNBURN Ice a martini glass to begin. (It is hot and need to keep this drink cold.) Muddle in shaker: • 1-2 Strawberries (depending on size) • 2-3 Basil Leaves (depending on size) Add ice and: • 0.5 oz Lime Juice • 2 Oz Strawberry Vodka Shake & Strain into chilled glass • Top of with Ginger Beer (we use Cock & Bull.) Garnish with a slice of strawberry and spanked fresh mint
