Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso for Solo Piano, Op. 27

Try the interactive tutorial, or download the Sheet music here: https://musescore.com/user/187555/sco... This is my piano transcription of Saint-Saëns's famous Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso. I will regard this as my greatest transcription to date due to the amount of detail I have put into this work. The original piece posts great challenges for a transcriber, as I need to contrast and emulate the different textures of the solo violin and the orchestra. As a result, I have put a great deal of thought into enhancing the effects of the original instruments. For example, in measures 39 and 43, I have substituted the string crossings of the violin with hand crossings on the piano to create a similar "staccato" effect. Meanwhile, sweeping arpeggios followed in order to simulate the vastly different textures of the orchestra. Meanwhile, as you may have noticed, I have placed hundreds if not thousands of hidden tempo and dynamic markings throughout the piece to emulate a convincing human interpretation. I have also instilled much originality in my transcription. For example, I have added an optional introduction at the beginning in the spirit of the piece. Meanwhile, I have also added original countermelodies to enhance the effects of the original piece. For instance, the section starting from measure 126 features a fugal section using the main theme as the subject. While from measures 181 to 194, I have added the countermelody to further build up tensions in the music. Anyway, I hope you will enjoy this piece. And as usual, please feel free to leave any comments and suggestions. I'll read all of them. :)
