Dr. Brian Brotschul: 2022 NJASA Region III Superintendent of the Year

“Is it good for kids?” That’s the question that the Delran School District asks – and answers – every single day. Hi, I’m Richard Bozza, Executive Director of NJASA, and I’m proud to introduce Dr. Brian Brotschul, our 2022 NJASA Region III award recipient and Chief Education Officer for Delran Township Public Schools. Under his leadership and his unique educational philosophy, the district evaluates every decision in Delran to ensure that it’s good for the kids and the people it serves. “What better way to discuss the potential of our country’s education system than to find systems that do it well together.” Delran’s collaborative approach has resulted in significant student achievement in every tested area in every demographic group. Every single one! The success of Delran schools is the result of deep and broad community partnerships. Rutgers University and Cornell University have supported the district’s Collaborative Leadership approach to shared decision making, including the development of a new STEM center. The $2 million dollar STEM center focuses on college and careers for students of Delran. The Delran Education Foundation supports the work of the Delran STEM Ecosystem Alliance, named by the New Jersey STEM Pathways Network as one of 55 “national ecosystems.” It is the only K-12 representative from New Jersey. Dr. Brotschul remains dedicated to educational leadership. He is one of the Burlington County Representatives to the NJASA Executive Committee.
