Final Fantasy VII - Under the Rotting Pizza - Synth Cover (Yamaha MX49, Microfreak, Synth1...)

This song are sick! A game that needs no introduction! FF7 was definitely not the first RPG I ever played but I can see why it made such a lasting impression on people who never played them before. This song always really stood out to me and really helped set the tone of the game. I think ALL video game music composers are talented, but Nobuo Uematsu is really one of the greats and on a different level. It's truly amazing the work he did on the Final Fantasy games and how much emotion he really squeezed out of the hardware on the older titles, especially! I hope my cover does the original justice! I think I spruced it up a little bit but kept it pretty close to the original. Don't fix it if it ain't broke huh! I did the bassline with Synth 1 and TAL Noisemaker (which is becoming a favorite!) and the realistic instruments with the Yamaha MX49. I liked the contrast between buzzy synth sounds and "real" instrument sounds, and then I went Tom Sawyer with the filter sweeps towards the end lol Thanks for checking it out and for the support! This summer so far is going great and I am getting a lot of time avoiding my wife and kids and working on VGM wait I mean SPENDING time with my family, I mean! oops Gear Stuff already mentioned! Drums: Beatskillz Synthwave Drums and grooove bpb sequenced in Renoise Tracker Zoom MS70CDR for fx on the hardware synths All hardware synths played by MT, recorded and mixed with Audacity for Windows. Software synths sequenced by MT in Renoise Tracker. Original Song composed by Nobuo Uematsu. Video footage from World of Longplays
