Damian was simply our baby. Our perfect baby that we had prayed for. When people are introduced to Damian now, I find it hard to explain that up until he was about 20 months old, Damian seemed COMPLETELY normal, healthy, and truly perfect - maybe it's because we've been campaigning for over a year now and the regression has been so steady that it's hard even for me to remember sometimes what he's lost. These home videos are both precious and incredibly shocking to watch back. But I know we can get my baby back. I don't believe we have come this far only to come this far. We will defeat this disease, for Damian and every baby fighting terminal Acid Sphingomyelinase Deficiency (ASMD).
