It made a world of difference for me in my own journey, and it’s helped so many of the people I work with. This stretch covers a wide range of muscles in the posterior hip capsule, such as the piriformis, and into the lower back - areas that are very tight for most people. It’s also very scalable for all levels of flexibility, and has an entry point & progression for everyone! That’s why I love it so much. Whether you’re using it as a dynamic active stretch as demonstrated here, or just holding it as a static passive stretch(linked above), if your hips are tight or you’re dealing with low back pain, this one is a must! A general recommended prescription would be to do 3-5 sets of 5-8 reps for each side, holding the stretch for 3-5 seconds at the bottom of each rep, and repeating 2-3x per week. Make sure you give your body a chance to recover before doing it again. These are probably muscles that you haven’t trained directly in a long time - if ever! Hope this helps!
