#jharkhandtourism #barbil #kiriburutour #sarandaforest For a quick holiday, I had planned to explore the jungles in west singbhum district of Jharkhand along with Jungles of Odisha. In my first episode of the tour, you have seen Tensa Nature Camp. On day 2, we left Tensa and went to Barbil. We stayed in Hotel Adhar near Barbil Station. As per our plan, we reached Barbil, put off the luggage in the hotel room and then went to visit Jateshwar Temple. In this last episode, I will take you with me to a journey of Saranda Forest. In my 3 nights tour, this last day we visited jharkhand from Barbil. After breakfast, we went to visit Jhinkra Waterfall. This waterfall is located inside a forest. It was an amazing experience to explore such a beatiful waterfall. From Jhinkra, we went to Kiriburu. Kiriburu is located at a 20KM distance from Barbil. Kiriburu and Meghahatuburu are the two SAIL mining sites. The townships are adjacent and share some common local facilities. From Kiriburu, we took a permission from Forest Officer. The permission was for visiting Saranda Forest. After taking the permission, we went to Saranda Forest through Kiriburu Mining Site. The Forest is green and dense, we saw a big snake while entering into the forest. We traveled a 26KM distance through the forest to reach Thalkobad. That place has a watch tower, nearby natural caves, jungle and a rest house. It was an amazing experience. Then we returned to Meghahatuburu to visit the famous view point. From the viewpoint one can spot 700 peaks in a clear sky. People call it country of 700 hills. Unfortunately, we saw the sunset but the peaks were not visible. The sky was foggy. We visited a nerby Durga Puja Pandal and returned back to Hotel. How to reach: Board Howrah-Barbil Jana Shatabdi Express and come to Barbil.
