I've been meaning to upload this for some time. This is a single-segment speedrun of the game Hexen by TheSeriousCacoDemon (formerly known as Cacodemon Leader). It uses the Cleric class and skill 3 (out of 5). The exact time, from the first frame of movement to the last, is 40:05.714 (144317 frames). Note: I didn't run this myself, this was done by a speedrunner from the Doom scene. I just put it in video form and uploaded it here. Based on the dates on the original files, this run was made in November 2005. This run does not qualify because it was recorded using ZDoom instead of the original executable. It contains a few major sequence breaks. The Heresiarch's Seminary, for example, is skipped almost entirely through the use of a glitch that allows you to pass through the bars blocking the exit. It should be noted that this is harder to perform on the original executable (but a similar trick that DOES work very consistently on the original executable has been discovered since then; so it's not impossible to get a similar time that does qualify for an SDA entry). Unfortunately, since this run was recorded using ZDoom 2.0.98.0, and recordings are not cross port compatible, I couldn't directly export the run to AVI. Instead, I had to use a screen recorder. Since Youtube is limited to 30 FPS anyway, this probably isn't noticeable. I would have preferred to export it at a higher resolution, though. Then again, as I recall it, 320x200 is what the original game looked like as well, so I suppose it doesn't matter all that much.
