Day 1 IN Chiang Mai , Thailand - Thailand Travel Tips Chapter 3

Chiang Mai is a city in northern Thailand. This is a hilly region. We landed in Chiang Mai around 1.30 pm on 22nd October. We took a cab from the airport. It’s about 20 to 25 mins drive to the centre of town. The cab driver charged us 300 THB. We had our booking in Hotel Royal Lanna. The hotel is centrally located close to the Night Bazar area. We kept our baggage in the hotel and got ready quickly and rushed for lunch as we were really hungry. We located a nice cosy place through google search - Alice’s. We enjoyed a beer and few starters. We tasted our fav Khao Soi. The food was superb. We decided to walk to the old town. We visited a small Buddhist temple on the way. We had a great time in the old city. We saw the THA PHAE GATE. We had a great time in the Weekend Night Bazar. We located an excellent cafe - Stories. This is a great place to relax and enjoy coffee. The night bazar was really nice. You can buy your mementos for people back home here. You can buy basic clothing and enjoy the local Thai street food. This place is full of tourists. It was raining late in the evening . So we could not record the video. We went quite full tasting various street food. So we went to The Pizza Company for dinner which was near the Night Bazar.. We were tired as we did not get a proper rest at Bangkok. We slept for about 4 hours. So we decided to head for the hotel. It was past 11 pm. - our first day in Chiang Mai was over. We were excited for the itinerary of the next day. There is lot to come…. Wait for our next chapter - Chapter 4.
